. There was never time to right the stories down as she told them first to her son and much later to her grandchildren but they were a welcome relief from her very demanding career. Then one day The Story of Hanukkah Howie popped into her head. It was time to commemorate the very giving nature of her father. It was time to share the experience of her Hanukkah celebrations. When Jan Dalrymple graduated from the University of Washington in 1969 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree and an Interior Design Major she went right to work. It provides very unique perspective - almost a chronicle of design over time. Disclosure: Since reading this book I have got to know the author. This books is a simply excellent reference text for those wishing to understand how our electricity networks function, from the point of view of those who are tasked with ensuring reliable, good quality electricity. One of the great strengths of this book is that the reader will leave it well-versed in the terminology required for a better level of discussion about electricity networks. They were impossible to control and you can be sure that, over the years, both Hannah and Howie tried a variety of remedies. As readers discover in the story the only solution that seemed to be there was for Howie to cover his very strange hair. Have your ever had a bad hair day? Well imagine eight bad-hair-days in a row and at just the wrong time. The message for all readers and listeners from 4 to 94 is that through acceptance of the differences within ourselves and others, we can find comfort, happiness and hope.. Was that to be it? Was it only a peculiar one time event? Not a chance. This was a huge embarrassment and worry for Hannah, but equally unbelievable, as soon as Hanukkah ended the spikes disappeared. Each year at Hanukkah the spikes reappeared. By day eight there were nine spikes in all, four at right, four at left, one in center so tall .

The exuberant energy of Bob Dalrymple's accompanying drawings convey the warmth of family and the excitement of holidays. more sharply seen / to his dismay and "college" and "knowledge" paired were delightful, and seemed at that moment, so insightful. Oh, no! It is infectious The illustrations seemed timeless, and the image of Grandpa Mel, paler - - but looming large in the minds of everyone - - was touching. So fun to read, (clearly best out loud!) and wow, great illustrations! --Mary Clarfeld, Editor . --Jim Demetre, Publisher and Editor, ArtdishThe unexpected and often hilarious rhyme, and the same with word choice such as to unstrange it was so engaging.
