They once lived in a land called Requiem, many miles away. A haunted young man, a brickmaker. Today the children of Requiem labor as humans, rather than fly as dragons. A haggard priest, his wife slain. Today Requiem lies in ruin, perhaps only a myth. Without I LOVED this book. A must for all Valentino Rossi fans to add to the collection. I was not prepared as to how powerful it would be. In an earlier, more innocent age, someone connecting to a telnet, sendmail or ftp daemon would cause it to reply with the machine's operating system label and the version of that daemon. Bought this on a whim, thinking that it would be interesting for my wife and I to hunt for morels in Michigan in the spring. The best thing I liked about the book (not counting the fact that it chronicles Rossi's life so well and in so much detail) is that it reflects the true personality of a man. Taylor, he assured me that the toughest part of the business is the decision to get started. This was the first book of Katherine Ashe's that I'd ever read, and I was impressed by the depth of the fictional world she's created. Topics that the author is most familiar with, such as television broadcasting formats, are treated in great detail (complete with circuit-level diagrams!). The book is very useful to anyone be they a normal cook at home or a health care provider/practitioner.. He was pleased to receive it & enjoyed reading it. I've been working my way through this for what feels like months now. Fred Baughman agrees. The professor who wrote this put together what seems like a very clean, easy to understand text (where "easy" may depend on your background - I found it easy). Not so. D is a dhampir, or half-Vampi
