They are well-drawn and distinct, and behave like human beings.The ending wasn't a complete surprise, yet the author successfully kept the reader in suspense, since there were a series of possible conclusions, and up until the end I wondered how the author was going to resolve everything satisfactorily given the direction I'd felt she was taking it. This section is where the book really shines, covering everything from intrusion detection to logging and monitoring.My favorite feature of this book is that it will present you with a potential security problem and then a possible solution, but then the book will ask: what if a hacker did this or that? Asking questions in this manner gives you the proper mindset you need to start securing your systems.. Unless you have no computer (how are you reading this then? :-) there is no reason to buy this old paper-only edition. I do think that probably all women who are in their early twenties, at the start of their career track and considering "having it all" (the career, the husband and the kids) should read this, because there is a harsh reality that comes with being a mom (or dad) AND working full timeand the alternative of one parent staying home requires sacrifices that are just as great (unless you're lucky enough to have
