Karnow worked for TIME, which espoused a conservative Republican point of view (though more moderate than what would later characterize the late 1950s NATIONAL REVIEW), while Karnow himself was a liberal. Order it now, I guarantee you won't be able to put it down!. If you weren't born yet, you'll get a historical perspective that's lost in today's unquestioning adoration of everything "vintage".Recommended..
